The goal for our AKC Boston Terrier futures, is to breed healthy, sound Boston’s with correct structure, longevity, and the best temperaments. Description We are the Sims Family. Angela, Cara and Justin. Welcome to our page! Our love for this wonderful breed began with a little black and white Boston boy named Buddy. We acquired him from a family member who could no longer keep him. That day changed our life forever and now we could not imagine life without being owned by a Boston Terrier. We have had several different breeds throughout the years and still have a few other pet companion breeds living with us at present. We have found that the Boston Terrier breed suits our home and represents our lifestyle the very best. My first love has always been the Boxer. Having bred, owned and briefly shown Boxers in the past, I found the Boston Terrier to have very similar characteristics to that of the Boxer, "mini" versions" if you will, in looks and temperament that range from that heart melting expression in their eyes to the loving and playful nature they share with our fellow Boxers. When Buddy entered our world, we knew we were about to embark on yet another wonderful adventure with this wonderful breed. We sought after and found a very special black and white female known by title as, Smith’s Pretty Joy but better known as "Mamma Joy" around here. Joy has blessed us with some very nice litters at Joyful Heart Boston Terrier’s throughout the years. In her honor and because of the great job she has done in motherhood and for the joy she fills in our hearts daily, we have given her the business namesake, hence aka "Joyful Heart" Boston Terriers. Joy is now spayed and retired from our program but never our home or our heart. She is the Joyful Heart Mascot now. We decided to venture out even more into the wonderful world of Boston’s and sought after not only the traditional (black and white/brindle) but the non-traditional (colored) Boston Terriers as well. It was then we found a wonderful breeder and friend, Miss Peggy Smith that gave us our first "blue" Boston Terrier that is our pride and joy here. Bonnie was also our first Boston to be completely health tested and OFA registered and certified. Her dilute coat is stunning, her personality his superb and she is very nicely put together and produces very beautiful puppies as well. She is my husband’s favorite dog and she loves her daddy very much. Both Justin and I are forever grateful to be owned by such an amazing, beautiful shade of blue Boston Terrier female. Bonnie is now retired and living the great life of a couch potato alongside our Mama Joy. They will reside with us till they or we take our last breathe. We also have a new very handsome traditional black and white male of champion lineage named Beau. Beau is a very nice example of the breed and is JHC clear non-carrier and health tested Normal in Cardio and Patella and DNA verified . Bonnie and Beau had a litter of puppies in July , 2015. Our other tuxedo black and white Boston is a pup from Bonnie’s last litter with Sir Rufus Red of Joyful Heart (our keeper) named Promise, our dilute carrier and foundation brood female. Promise had her first litter with our lilac male Sandman on February 3rd, 2016 via C-section. We are considering having one more litter with her and then she will retire from our breeding program. She is a smaller female and weighing only around 12 lbs. We also have a lovely standard or also known as traditional black and white female we acquired from our dear friend Mr. Don Garmon named Miss Mandy . She has had two litters for us her previous litter we used our friend Wendy J. Moore’s handsome stud dog Topeaka and they produced some very nice standard marked puppies and to our wonderful surprise a few splash pattern puppies. Boxers have always been my first love and we still have a few of those too... but after being owned by the fabulous Boston Terriers, I of course sought out after the fawn colored Boston Terriers and we look forward to an amazing future fawn line here at Joyful Heart. One of our fawn males we named Haven’s Fawn Sun-child Sampson aka, Sammy Boy comes from very nice lineage and bred by one of my dearest friends ,Lauren Hayes in Shelbyville, Tn. Samson and our beautiful chocolate brindle (fawn factored) female Mischief we acquired from our good friend, Sharayah Sunbrun of Limelight Bullies have been bred and we are anxiously awaiting to see if pregnancy will be confirmed. I have waited several years for a litter of fawns and hoping they produce some very nice black mask fawns, chocolate fawns and/or fawn brindles for us. We also have a beautiful new black mask fawn girl we named Tinker Bell that we will hopefully pair with our heavy brindle male produced here from our recent litter from Bonnie and our adult black mask fawn male Samson. We have high hopes of a beautiful, one of a kind future fawn and brindle line created right here at Joyful Heart Boston Terriers. Stay tuned for what is to come!!! We are very excited about our future fawn line that will be JHC clear non-carriers and AKC registered. On the traditional side of things..... We also have acquired some very nice puppies of champion lineage for those who prefer the tuxedo style Boston Terrier. Our main goal is to have the best of both worlds with both traditional lines, for some future show hopefuls and our non-traditional lines for the color enthusiast but most importantly, to produce healthy puppies from health tested parents of great temperament and sound structure... that our puppy buyers can be proud to own and that we can be proud to represent. Yes, I would say we are Boston addicts, we love and adore each and every one, and every color, we love our buyers and extended family members and stand behind our dogs with lifetime breeder support and love for the breed. Our dogs are FAMILY FIRST...then breeding is our passion and we do it for the soul purpose of sharing that passion with others and for the love of the breed. Our mission is to produce puppies of nice quality and conformation and sound structure focusing on health and temperament first and foremost regardless of color. Our prices reflect the amount of...
